We use only the finest and freshest all-natural ingredients in Janie's
Pound Cakes. These include unbleached King Arthur brand flour, pure Imperial brand cane sugar, real
Nielsen-Massey
Madagascar
vanilla extract, farm fresh eggs from Janie's own chickens, real dairy cream and butter.
You
will NEVER find preservatives, or artificial ingredients in Janie's
Cakes. And every cake is made from scratch (meaning from the beginning
or from the most basic ingredients). Unlike most bakers, Janie's Cakes NEVER uses commercial cake
mixes and NEVER will!
Are your products guaranteed?
Yes! Try our one of our cakes. If you don’t agree that it is the world’s finest pound cake we will refund the price of the cake. That’s our risk-free guarantee.*
*Our guarrantee applies to your experience in consuming our cakes, curds and sauces only. It does not apply to issues beyond our control such as shipping problems, lost or delayed shipments, products returned due to bad addresses, etc.
What is the size of your Pound Cakes?
Janie bakes her cakes in 8" (6-cup) Bundt pans. They weigh approximately
2 lbs.
How many people does one Pound Cake serve?
It depends on the size of the slice, but generally each cake produces 12-15 servings. Keep in mind that Janie's Cakes are very rich. A small
wedge goes a long way.
Where and how are Janie's Pound Cakes shipped?
We ship Janie's Pound Cakes anywhere in the United States. FedEx 2Day is our preferred shipping method (available for shipments going
out Mon.- Wed.). We also offer FedEx Standard Overnight
on request (available for shipments going out Mon.-Thurs.).
Sorry,
but we don't ship cakes on Friday (we don't want your cake sitting

Sorry, but due to many factors beyond our control, Janie's Cakes
cannot guarantee shipping and delivery dates. We will do our best to get your cake delivered on the date that
you request.
How should I handle my cake when I get it?
You should EAT IT right out of the box, of course!! But if you have to wait, to ensure maximum shelf life we suggest that you refrigerate your
cake when it arrives and keep it tightly wrapped or in an air tight
container to avoid drying.
Janie's Cakes are best served at room temperature. If you have refrigerated your cake be certain to let it warm up before serving.
You can freeze your cake, as well. Just
remember, the key to freshness of any baked product is to keep it tightly wrapped or in an air tight container.**
**Remember to use proper food handling procedures when handling this and any other food product.
How long will my Pound Cake last?
Refrigerated and wrapped, your cake will last up to two weeks.
Frozen and wrapped it will keep up to six months. Frozen cakes can
be thawed and refrozen several times with very little degradation
of flavor.
